Formed by a group of players associated to the old police youth team called the Blue Batons and complemented by players that had been released by Glacis United and St. Jago’s, Lincoln would make their competitive bout in the Gibraltar Fourth Division in 1976. In 1984/85 Lincoln played their first season in the previously named GFA Premier League, joint champions with Glacis United – the first of seven League titles which they won between 1984 and 1994 . Lincoln would go on to win the League, Rock Cup and Senior Cup treble 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2014, claiming League and Rock Cup doubles in 2009, 2010 and 2015 as well as a League and Senior Cup double in 2012. Lincoln would also go on to surpass the previous record of nine league titles In a row, held by Glacis United, by clinching 14 league titles in a row between 2003 and 2016. In the UEFA era of Gibraltar football, Lincoln has been a mainstay in European competition, featuring in all three of UEFA’s premier European competitions, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League, the latter of which saw Lincoln qualify into the group stage, the first Gibraltar club to ever do so.
